TOPIC: [SOLVED] Install problem DT Register

Wont install. Error=Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /data/17/2/144/52/2144215/user/2353331/htdocs/libraries/joomla/filesystem/archive/zip.php on line 331

Joomla 1.5.28. Just downloaded DT Register. JEvents installs OK.

Any ideas.

Already addressed through a ticket, but since it was double-posted here...

This would be due to a limitation on your server. You could try to increase max_execution_time in your php settings. You can also try using Joomla's Install From Directory option:

- unzip the com_dtregister2_7_1c_J15.zip install package. You'll then have 3 folders and one .xml file.
- via FTP, copy these folders and file to /tmp/dtregister. Create this directory. Dump the unzipped package there.
- go to the Joomla installer area and go to the middle section that says Install from Directory. Put in this directory location:
/your_joomla_location/tmp/dtregister
- Click the Install button

This may work better for you. DT Register is just a big program. By the way, JEvents is NOT needed. You can use it and sync with it if you want to, but you do not need it. DT Reg has it's own calendar. Just making sure you are aware.

Initially I also can not make a fresh install for DT register v2.7.1. followed boave procedure, and it showed install success. However, come with these error/warning message

JFTP::mkdir: Bad response
JFTP::chmod: Bad response

I use Joomla 1.5.18, without Jevent installation.

longzeit - No worry on those JFTP warnings. Sounds like you have FTP enabled in the Joomla configuration but with incorrect settings. It is not needed anyway... just disable FTP in Joomla. No issue here though related to DT Register. Thanks.
