When entering a discount coupon that causes the total amount due to be less than one dollar (DT says: "Your total Registration cost: $ 0.01"), Paypal gives the following error after DT Reg transfers you to PayPal:

The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount.

My event costs $100.00. My coupon code gives an amount discount of 99.99. Even when I set my coupon for an amount discount of 99.01, I get the same error.

This is what the DT Register redirect form just prior to loading PayPal has for a pertinent variable:

For when a 99.99 discount code is used:
<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="0.010000000000005">
For when a 99.01 discount code is used:
<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="0.98999999999999">

If you use a discount code that causes the total due to be exactly $1.00 or more, there is no error. Only when the total due is less than one whole dollar does this error occur.

Anybody experience the same?? Know a fix? I don't have access to the money receiving paypal account, so I use discount codes to make my seminar price $0.01. This way, I can send real cash (live mode) to test functionality, ensure operational integrity, et c, and not pay to work! The money recipient is too busy to constantly click the "refund" button in PayPal for when I have to do testing.

If I set the cost of the event to 0.01, then there is no need for a discount code and therefore, no error. I have not tried a $0.01 discount code when setting the event cost to $0.02...that would be a good test. Maybe if I get some time I'll try it.
