Hi

I am new user of DT Register, not native english speaker, so I will be simple in my questions:

I created a website that allow people to register their events (paid and free), for the moment this service is free for members, but it could be paid in the future. My questions are:

- How can I set permissions and settings to allow registered members to do the following (from the frontend):
+ Create an event, edit it and create location, but they still have to be approved (by me) before the event can be published
+ Visitors can view events, but have to register before booking an event
+ Registred member who created the event (event owner) can use their financial data (paypal or others) for paid event
- How can I translate event categories from french to english
- How can I translate other form items (for registering an event)
- I have done a test by creating an event as registred user in the frontend, but did not receive any email notification as Administrator

Hello. Here are some answers for you...

- How can I set permissions and settings to allow registered members to do the following (from the frontend):
+ Create an event, edit it and create location, but they still have to be approved (by me) before the event can be published

Go to DT Register -> Permissions. Set permissions as desired for each user type. Set who can create events, who can create locations, etc.

+ Visitors can view events, but have to register before booking an event

Set your events as "Private". This will allow them to be seen, but only registered users can proceed to registration.

+ Registred member who created the event (event owner) can use their financial data (paypal or others) for paid event

Using the menu option of DT Register: Control Panel, users with set permission will be able to access Pay Options and create new ones. Then they can select that pay option when they create events.

- How can I translate event categories from french to english
- How can I translate other form items (for registering an event)

If your site is only French, just create the categories with French titles. If you have a multi-lingual site, you can use the Joomfish component to give your site support for multiple languages. DT Register has Joomfish content element files and instructions in the main package. Any text that shows onscreen can be modified in language files.
FRONTEND - /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini
BACKEND - /administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini
For French files, go to /fr-FR/ directories.

- I have done a test by creating an event as registred user in the frontend, but did not receive any email notification as Administrator

If you are saying you did not receive an email notifying you that the event itself was created, that is something we are looking into presently. Make sure you did provide a frontent notification email address on the Emails tab of Configuration.

If you need further help beyond this post, please submit a ticket. Thanks.

Adding a event from the frontend doesnt work - I tried setting permissions as outlined
but you can only edit existing events there is no button or option saying "ADD A NEW EVENT" / "New" etc.
Can you make a video demo showing us how to do this?
This is very much needed as non Joomla users are often very confused about accessing the backend of the site
