TOPIC: global stop for the registering process

Is there a way to tell DTregister to stop taking registration at a certain point (say, we now have too many attendees GLOBALLY). I mean a GLOBAL way instead of going from one event to another and change the date the registration ends one by one? I made the link to the register process non-unvailable on Joomla as well, but if someone bookmarked the address, she still can register.

That could look weird, but I use DTregister at school, and we offer to students many events from where to choose. The goal is to make them interested in something. When we have a certain critical numbers of attendees, we cannot take more. I am not sure that I am making sense here... English is my third language!
