TOPIC: Upgrading to Joomla 1.5

I have a DTdonate installation running on Joomla 1.0.13 in the root of my site. I installed Joomla 1.5.14 in a /j directory. The upgrade instructiuons say to uninstall the current version of DTdonate 2.1.6 and install the new 2.1.8 level. Since they are in different directories and different databases what is the procedure to move the data and config file to the new level

You will have to manually move the database tables that begin with jos_dtdonate (or whatever your prefix is... might not be jos_). Export those tables, then import them into your new database. THEN, install the 1.5 version of DT Donate. It will automatically update any database tables as needed.

The settings come from the file config.dtdonate.php so you will want to copy the data from that file and paste it into the new config file. You can't just use the old file as there will be new config items there. Carefully copy and paste from one file to the other as needed.
