Authorize.net has a payment gateway and a merchant account. Which is need in order to use this component?

I have a client who has a "First American Payments Systems" merchant account with an authorize.net payment gateway. Will this work?

Yes this will work. It works with any merchant account as long as the payment gateway is authorize.net. You can have other options such as paypal or pay later if desired.
