TOPIC: Participation / Results Certificates

Would there be a way to create 'participation' or 'results' certificates that people could access after an event? Something (pdf or a joomla page) that could import their name, date of event, name of event kind of thing?

I'm thinking after an event, the admin could trigger a 'Thanks for attending - Here's the link to your certificate' - If somehow that could incorporate customised HTML too then for example event sponsors and things could be added in as well.

Actually - Probably wishing way to far - but DT Register could grow to a results engine as well?! So if it's races people are registering for, results could be uploaded and then used for (a) these certificates and (b) front-end searchable results.... Probably pushing the DT Register scope way too wide there....

Not sure what the best way to do it would be - but just food for thought!

p.s. Can't wait to see what DT Register 2.7 is going to be like!

My team went ahead and added customized email/attach certificate functionality to dtRegister. We have been trying to offer (at no charge) the code to the dth development team so they can include it in their releases.

The update provides the ability to send emails to users based on any or multiple fields (e.g., attended event, requested certificate) with the ability to attach a certificate (e.g., attendance certificate) that incorporates field data (e.g., attendee first/last name, name of event, date of event) in PDF format.

I hope the team will consider the code for ingest.

Wow - That sounds perfect! Yes hopefully it'll be a future part of DT Reg then - A great enhancement - but I fully support any current future freeze in the interests of getting the J1.6 version up and running trouble free - Exciting times

Would absolutely love to see this as well. This is a huge hurdle for us using DT register for conferences that include Con Ed hours.

Was there a work-around?
