Hi there,
a userfriendly Tax feature is really important. In germany we must show prices with and without tax (19%) BEFORE customers enter the registration-process.
The option of using custom fields doesnt meet that need.
Are ther any plans for that feature in the next updates?
Hello. For now, I'd suggest putting tax info and price breakdown in the event description area on the listing of events. You could also put it in the message that displays above the registration form.
For clarity of our shoppers, they should see allthe following amounts:
Base fee amount
discount amount
VAT/Tax %
VAT/Tax amount
Total price
Can this be configured somewhere in DT Register.
Would be nice to have the possibility to show prices ex tax in event listing, and during checkout see the additional tax amounts.
Since a lot of customers are B2B, and can recover taxes, they don't mind about the taxes, but want to see them during chackout.
But if you display price ex VAT they are lower, and people will easier sign up.
On most of our online shopping experiences for B2B, it works as mentioned before.
I don't know why you guys just show 1 line item in the invoice when Tax is to be charged too. Doesn't make sense.
We can't even use your Tax system because it is not flexible enough for the complex EU VAT rules(which are very complex depending on where you are buying from)
As a workaround, we have added a checkbox to our registration form asking if Customer is 'liable to pay Tax'. It depends on where they are buying from as to whether they are liable or not. If Not, we ask for a EU VAT number and an no extra charge is added. If they are liable, we ad an extra charge but I want to be able to keep this as a seperate line item at the end in the cart.
