- Require registrants to make a partial/percentage downpayment for their event. This would help us tremendously in getting the "real" people to have their spots; those who want to go have a vested interest in it, and would therefore make a small payment.
- Not always have to go back and select the event when you come out of adding an individual or group registration via the backend. Each time you do this, the page refreshes after adding and it goes back to showing all records by default, so you have the extra step of selecting an event from the drop-down, etc. each time.
Down payments or non refundable deposits would be a fabulous feature for seminars, workshops and expensive conferences in which the attendee is unable to pay the full amount up front. Instead of not getting the person's registration at all, this feature will allow a lot of marginal people be able to attend.
Version 2.6 of DT Register does have the ability to offer "partial payments" per event. You can allow the user to enter the payment amount, you can provide a minimum to be accepted, or you can give a fixed deposit amount. Then users can come back and make additional payments online later through a new panel that is added.
2.6 has so many new features it has taken a little longer to complete than anticipated, but we are shooting at releasing in a week or so.
