Right now they come from the main email set in config - but they should either come from the "Recipient Email" address or make a new field where we can set the "from" email for each event. This is a huge problem for us and will keep us from using it unless it's fixed.
Here's why: we have a large association of 550 people. This association is made up of 11 smaller societies. we all want to use DTregister for our local meetings, but the emails all come from the main email. The main office doesn't like getting replies about the local meetings and those emails are not really coming from them anyway.
I say either make the registration emails come from the "Send New Registration Notification Emails To:" field or make a new field under it for "Send New Registration Notification Emails FROM:"
Actually, I like this one better - make a new field in each event under the email field titled: "Send New Registration Notification Emails FROM:"
I agree that there should be a separate From Email Field for each event. If there is nothing in that field, then you can default to the main email set in config. We have the same situation where users all over the world are organizing the events and we would rather have any reply emails go directly to the organizer as it is usually a question about the specific event.
I know this is an old thread, but for the sake of updating it... this feature WAS added in 2.7.5. That was a while back at this point, but for the sake of anyone that reading this and wondering if/when it would be added
