Laura,
I have two markets where I sell stuff on Thursdays and Saturdays, for about 6 months. The site is growingcommunity.net, and if you are good with CSS, maybe you can help me with the JEvents calendar, which I know is really ugly.

Your question sounded pretty noobish, so you have two options: try to follow my instructions exactly, because that\'s why I wrote them, or, Alternatively, you might try some other tools and come up with a better way.

Someone proficient with the tools I mentioned, I think, might be able to insert 1, 10, 100, or even 1000 events in under 15 minutes, complete with a custom field or two.

If there\'s someone who is good with ScreenCam or Ning or something, and can record doing this, that would be cool, too.

If you want to post back here your one record exported from PHPMyAdmin, and the date range you need, someone, perhaps I should be able to dupe it up for you, and give you back a file to run in PHPMyAdmin.

Meanwhile, as backup, everyone reading this please ask Nathan to create a function to generate recurring event sessions.

Best,
Ken

Yeah this process works pretty good... Export events, Import into Excel, setup your recurring events, then Import into SQL... however if your like me... and have 15 different custom fields... it\'s a whole new ball game... becuase now you have to setup your events, then create the extra fields for each event... So I wanted to create 100 events.. and I have 15 custom fields... which is now 1500 extra fields that I have to create and import and then making sure the extra fields are shown to the user side.... WHAT A MESS.... We really need a way to do this easily...

We are working on this and hope to include it in the next release. It is more complicated to integrate than some may think, but please be patient. Our focus lately has been more on working out actual bugs rather than new features. Stay tuned...

By the way, everyone doesn\'t need to ask me to get this done. It\'s already in process :)

Well I\'m pretty glad I asked this question before I purchased. Have just read this and a few other forum threads on this subject.

Still despite this I really like what this component can do, and just as soon as recurring events are handled I will be making the purchase.

Last question is, what is the timeframe for the next release that will contain this feature ?

Thanks

Well, I have decided to go another route for my scheduling/registration issue. I am looking forward to when DT Register can handle events that go on for more than just one day.

for now I will be using virtue mart to get my client up and running.

DT Register is perfect for One Day events, I just wish it noted that somewhere on the info about the product. But I will be using it for a different site which does have one day events.

thanks for your feedback.

DT Register DOES work with multi-day events... just not recurring events. Your event can be three days long, just not 3 days recurring monthly (or something like that). We know this recurring issue is critical so we\'re on it...
