Hi-

I am brand new to DT Register. After installing the component and playing with it in test mode, I\'ve found that the amount for the event isn\'t sent to PayPal. You have to manually enter the amount once in paypal. Is this normal? After payment (via sandbox), I am returned to my site but it tells me nothing has been paid. Is that because I am in Paypal test mode? Also, no registrations appear on the back end.

I did a search for this on the forums but couldn\'t find anything but I could\'ve missed something.

Thanks in advance

I am not having problems with the amount being sent to paypal. However, I am having the issue with the registrations not showing up after. Do you host with Godaddy?

yes, I have my hosting with GoDaddy. I updated the dtregister.php like the admin says in the post above but no luck.

There appears to be a problem with either the IPN not triggering the component to update the database that the registrant has paid and therefore registered or the component is not recognizing the IPN information and hence the same result. If you are able to look at your SQL database, you would see that the registration data is there.

I don\'t know if this is a Godaddy problem specifically or not. There is someone else that posted a similar issue with Godaddy.

I have put in a support ticket.

Actually, I haven\'t gotten that far yet to be honest but I did find something out that is a bit odd. Maybe you can help me with it.

When I logged out of my site, it sends the correct amount of $100 to paypal. I was ecstatic. When I changed the member discount rate from amount to percent (50% discount), all amounts showed correct on my site but a $25 charge was what paypal received. So it looks like the problem appears to be that the discount is being calculated properly on my site but the amount is somehow different when it is sent to PayPal. Any ideas? I, too, entered a support ticket. Any idea how responsive they are?

I had a unrelated problem last week and response was in less than 24 hours which is great. Very quiet regarding this issue. I suspect they are working on a major rewrite of the component that will fix the problems we are haveing.:)
