I recently rebuilt our website. I backed up the old site, all files, everythng. When I rebuilt the site all components became a new install.

What is the best way to get all the past events and the data reinstalled on the new site?

Thanks!

You need to uninstall DT Register on the new site. Then drop all _dtregister database tables. Then import your backed up _dtregister tables. Change the prefix if needed. Then with old data in place, install the current DT Register.

Nathan,
Thanks. I assume I have to back up the new site data? If I uninstall DT register on the new site I will lose the new data, correct?

Thanks!

You can not combine new DT Register data with old data. Not possible as you'd have conflicting IDs in the database for events, records, fields, etc. You have to go with one or the other.

That makes sense. Is there a folder or file I can extract the past data from and turn into a csv file or something readable?

No, it's all stored in the database. You can use a tool like phpMyAdmin or whatever your web host gives you access to... select all of the tables including "_dtregister" in the name and export them to a SQL file. Then import that into your new database (after you first drop the tables there).
