TOPIC: PayPal transactions not recorded in DTDonate backend

Our Authorize.net integration is working fine, but PAYPAL donations through DTDonate are not being shown in the "Donation Records", nor are they generating the "Thanks" email or Admin notification email.

How can this be fixed?

I'm sure this is just a configuration issue. Please check:

- IPN is enabled in PayPal account along with sending of IPN messages
- Auto-return is OFF in PayPal account
- Permissions are correct on site, 755 directories and 644 files from the top level containing the Joomla install on down
- Nothing should be restricting access to /components/com_dtdonate/success.php. Check your .htaccess file for possible restrictions there.

I just checked everything...

- IPN is ON (and we ARE getting the notifications from PayPal, just not from DTdonate. With Authorize.net, we get BOTH a message from Authorize AND a message from DTDonate).

- AutoReturn is OFF

- Permissions are correct all the way through to the success.php file

- I also completely disabled HTACCESS and did a PayPal donation. It is still not being recorded in the Donation Records nor is the DT donate notification being sent out.

Do you have any other ideas? This problem is extremely urgent, and I have checked everything you mentioned in your last message and it was as it should be.

If a record is not created, then no emails will be generated... so it all comes down to one issue... tracking down what is blocking IPN from PayPal.

What exact version of DT Donate are you using and what version of Joomla?

What permission is the directory that contains the Joomla install? (like your /public_html type directory)

Are ALL PayPal donations failing to create a record or just occasional ones?
