TOPIC: What possibilities for registration management

What possibilities for registration management 15 years 2 months ago #4823

Hi,

Searched on the forum and demo but not sure if it can do this:

In our business: registrations are usually done by a traininingsmanager of HR department. They book the individual persons.

Ideally the trainingsmanager will then somehow have an overview of all reservations he made ( in the past, present and future) and be able to edit them and plan ahead.

Can you please outline whether is can be done?

Cheers
B

Hello. If you are talking about managing events, this is currently done on the administrator side of Joomla. You can name an administrator of each event by providing the admin email address so the appropriate person is notified of new registrations for that event. However, all events are managed in one place. You can not currently give access to administrate events on the frontend nor can you give admin access for an event to only a certain user.

These type of things are in development however and we hope to have them available soon.

Ah, no. Apprearenty I did not ask my question in the right way.

2 parties:
party 1: event organizer (me)
organizes events and has access to the backened.

part 2 clients
they book events, indivually and by group. If done by group, it is usually done by a HR manager. Can the HR manager (tru the frontend) get an overview of all his reservations (for various people within the organization)?

Cheers
Bart

Ok, party 1 (event organizer) is all set.

Party 2 (clients) is able to register as individual or group. If the HR person registers a group, there is not currently a method for them to come and view registration details on the frontend AFTER the registration is done. However, you can customize the confirmation email so it CAN include each member name and whatever details you need.

Also, the attendees list is able to show all members of a group registration. You can set that list to be public or only viewable to logged in users.

OK, would you be able to provide customization (hours paid) for following functionality.

HR managers login a customer portal of our training school. In customer portal each HR manager can manage all the booking he made individual and group on behalf of the company (book, change, cancel etc). Portal should give overview of all bookings (past and future). Comment box per booking, export option etc. HR manager (client) should be able to manage all the bookings tru the front end. The events are provided by us (the training school) tru the backend.

Thanks, email me if more info needed

Hi!

I am currently weighing up DT Register in comparison with a couple of other systems to see what would be most appropriate for a site I am building.

DT Register looks excellent on many levels, but the main thing holding me back from DT Register is this lack of being able to add or update an event from the front end -- we need to be able to allow course instructors to manage their own events.

You say this functionality is "in development" and "available soon", but do you have any idea when? We need a site to be fully functional by early 2010.

Thanks
Geoffrey
