Hello!

Is it possible to create fields, which are visible to the customer, but can't be edited by him.

Thank you

You can create "textual" fields, which will display data onscreen inside of the form. This supports HTML, so you could put whatever info you wanted to show.

Thank you for the fast answer!

I did it, but in this case this default information can't be changed in every record

Am I missing something?

PS. Say, I can change the confirmation number, but user can't. Can custom fields be managed the same way?

Right, textual fields are not intended to be changed. You can mark any type of custom field as "hidden" which will cause it to be shown in the backend when you edit records, but it will not show to the user during registration.

Great function, but they can't be viewed by the user also, right?

The main reason I asked is ability to insert technical information regarding the event, but to to prevent editing and (also) possible confusions.

I'm using component for travel, and we need very important information regarding every user (say, visa status or hotel voucher numbers and a lot of such kind of things).

If user can edit this fields it's going to be problems...if he/she doesn't see them, it's not useful, because this information is more important for the user than for us.

Can be something done about it?

The hidden fields are not viewable to the user... only admin in backend. If the data you need to display is the same for all users throughout the event, the textual field type will accomplish what you need.

Main point... are you needing to show the user this info during registration or in the user panel when they return to edit?

If it's during registration, then the textual field would be fine. If you are wanting to make various selections per record AFTER the user registers, then you'd need a new type of field parameter to make it read-only. This is something we could try to add soon.
