Can the "auto create user" function be set on a "per-event" basis? In other words, registration to event A will create a new Joomla/CB account at same time...while registration to event B will not create a Joomla account.

Also, I would like to setup my site so that users cannot create joomla accounts via the normal process. The only way they can create a user account it by registering to event A, which has auto-create user activated.

Is this possible?

*I am using an older version of DTHR but will most definitely purchase the new version if it can be confirmed that is will do what I need it to do, as described above.

Thanks!

The auto user creation is a global setting... not per event. We will consider that option for future development though.

Joomla config must be set to allow frontend user creation... but you don't have to publish links to do so. I'd suggest using Community Builder then set the CB login module to hide the "Register" link. You could also set CB to require approval of user registrations... so just in case someone manually located the register link, their account wouldn't be enabled automatically. Just thinking out loud on that one. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response and suggestion.

This all works with CB though right? If a user registers for an Event that has the auto create user function activated, there joomla user account will be created and it will link with CB? Just confirming.

It will work with or without CB. If CB is there, the user will be added to the CB user manager also. By the way, I see your license expired in March... so there is no way you would have access to a new enough version of DT Register to use this feature. You'll need to purchase a new license to get the latest releases along with another year of updates and support. Thanks.

Yes I realize I have to purchase the latest version (see first post), that's no issue. Just confirming that it will do what I hope it will. :) Looks very promising. Keep up the great work!

Is there any way I can use 2 versions of DTH Register on the same site? In other words use my old version for registrations that are NOT to create Joomla user, and use the new version for the registrations that should create new joomla users.

This would pretty much solve all my problems I think! Because I really need one registration to create users, and all other registrations should not. Until we can have autocreate user on a per-reg basis, this would be an acceptable workaround for me if it could be done.
