TOPIC: Checkbox group not calculating

Hi,

I am trying to set up a registration process whereby the user can select what nights they want to attend and be charged accordingley. I have achieved this by setting the registration fee to '0' and then adding a checkbox when they register which will add £5 for each box they check.They can book individually or as a group. Everything seems to work fine when I register as an individual but as soon as I try and register with a group of people, the totals do not add up, in fact it picks up a single £5 fee regardless of how many people I register on whichever days.

Here is how I have configured things so far:

I have set up a custom checkbox field with the following key points:

Values: Friday Night|Saturday Night
Selection Limits: 0|0
Selected values: empty as I don't want anything checked by default
Fee Field: Checked
Fees: 5|5
... and under 'default settings'
Group registrations: Each Member

The EVENT has been set up with the following key points:

Discount Fees tab: Everything is set to No, None or 0
except for the [Rate / Person] X [Number of Members] = [Registration Rate] boxes which are set up as:
Number of Members: 1 Registration Rate: 0.00 Rate/Person 0:00

Fields tab: The custom field is set as follows
Used for this event: Yes
Required: No
Group Registrants: Each Member

I jsut can't fathom out what it is I am doing wrong! Any help would be gratefully received.

I've seen this as well. I ended up changing my check boxes out with radio options and added options for the combinations. Not an ideal solution, but it works for now.

Agreed, that was my next plan of action to see if it works

I have put a ticket in so we'll see what comes of it!

I'm experiencing the same problem and offering a dropdown selection for every combination isn't a solution that will be acceptable to my audience.

Here's the solution
1. Do Not put a closing | in the values
2. make certain that your default item is listed exactly the same as the corresponding value.

Voila! It works.

If you look at my example, there is no closing | and also the default item is blank (which is an acceptable value). So I don't think that is the solution to my particular problem!

However, dthadmin responded very quickly to a ticket I placed with them a couple of days ago with a solution and I am trying to find 5 minutes spare to try it out before I post the answer to this problem.
