TOPIC: How to create a Date of Birth field

If I create a Date Custom field, it shows the calendar for the current year. Since this is a date of birth field, that would not be correct.

If I do not use the calendar to search for the date (and this is extremely tedious since I have to move back like 40 years to reach the correct year), I find that I can key anything in the date field (even text) and the system would not say that there is an error.

Is there any way I can get the date to be verified and yet not use the calendar in this case?

We will add a check for this into the next release which is soon-coming.

I'm having the same issue - for date of birth I do not want the calendar to show at all. Also, the date fields do not allow entry in my configured date format - the year is first, which is strange to many US users. What would be nice is three text fields or dropdowns on a single line for "Month" "Day" and "Year". Is this possible?

You can't make a date field without the calendar right now. The next release will give format options for date custom fields.
