Hi...

I have had a request to set up a conference registration site.

The conference will have multiple events/activities that people can register for...

Is there a way to set up DTRegister like that?
Would I need to make each activity its own event in JEvents, then set up DTRegister for each JEvent? (which would make sense)...

however, how would I be able to pull it all together for the entire "Conference" overview / registration page? is it possible to have an article with multiple events where they choose the events they want to attend and check out once?? (that's the biggie...)

thanks

You COULD setup an event for each option which would be fine, but they would all be separate transactions. I would suggest this:

Setup ONE event then create a custom field where the user selects which activities to register for. You can assign costs to each selection so based on which activities are selected, the cost is calculated accordingly. Then you can also assign a limit to each of those activity selections... so only 15 (for example) can select activity one, activity two, etc... then once the limit is met for that activity, it no longer shows as an option for someone else to select. You could do this with dropdowns, radio buttons or check boxes... whichever makes most sense for your needs. I would think checkboxes in this case, assuming people can choose more than one activity at a time.

I believe this should work just fine for you. Thanks.

awesome - thanks - have that set up - working great!

next question - can someone who registers, come back and edit their registration later? (assuming they are registered on the site with community builder - which they all will be)...

thanks

Sounds good :) Glad it's working well.

Users can not change their registration as of now, HOWEVER, we are working on this at the moment to be included in the next release! LOTS of big improvements for 2.6. Hopefully it will be out within a couple of weeks.

Hey Nathan,

that would be HUGE!

My client wants the attendees to be able to manage their registration - adding and subtracting (even) seminars/special events connected with it...

I could do that with forms - but its the payment thing I didn't want to mess with...

awesome!

thanks

Hi Nathan

I am looking at allowing users who register for an event the ability to edit their registration details, so more complete integration with Community Builder is exactly what I am looking for. Urgently need that functionality for a job I am working on. Any idea when the next version will be released?

Thanks!
