TOPIC: 2.3.6 Paypal not working

Just tested Paypal with DT Register 236 and it is not working correctly. After payment at paypal I am left with the click to return button. Before clicking this I checked to see what had happened at the site and I had gotten my email saying I registered but no registrants were showing in admin. So I click the return to merchant button at paypal thinking this would record the registration. The page said I was registered but still no registration shows in admin????

Need this to work since site was to go live in 2 days

With version 2.3.6, PayPal IPN was integrated. Go to the Settings area in DT Register and you\'ll see a new section highlighted in green telling you about this and what you need to do. You need to enable IPN on your PayPal account.

I already did that. IPN is working it tells the site that I registered and sends the registration emails, but it does not record the registration in the database.

IPN is specifically the reason I waited for this version before going live with the web site.

I have the same problem. Turned on IPN with paypal. Running DT Register 2.3.6. Registered for event and when i clicked the button to return to my site, the registration record was there but there wasn\'t any information in it, all the fields were blank.
Please help, we have to go live as well.

Just for the heck of it I checked the database and cleared all old registrations. There had been one entered for Paypal but not paid and also not indicating I or G.

With all of the records deleted I re-tested Paypal and this time it worked correctly.

Is this a case where if there has been a prior registration with the same user info it somehow messes things up? I need to make sure this will work for all registrants even if they had registered for another event using the same user info.

I also noticed that using the stock thank you message if it is an individual registration it reads like this:

Is there any way to suppress the group info if there was no group?

This seems to be fine for most people but we have seen a couple small adjustments to make for further improvement in relation to the storage of records. We\'re working on it now and will have an update this weekend hopefully.
