TOPIC: Waiting List

I have a registration running with a maximum of 10 entries and I have the waiting list enabled. I am also allowing alternate competitors to register so if a competitor can not make it, their alternate will go. When the alternate competitor registers can I mark them as "Waiting" so they can go onto a wait list and not take up one of the 10 entry spots? This way I can have the alternate competitors register and also show how many spots are available in the 10 entry cap?

Will changing the status of a competitor to 'Waiting' put them on the wait list? Will a wait list appear in the front end?

You can manually change the status of any record, so you could change one to "Waiting" if needed, then they will not count towards your 10 spots.

That's great - thank you for the quick response. Is it possible to show the 'waiting' list on the front end? Possibly below the active list?

There is no way to show the waiting list on the frontend yet. We could work in an option for that in a future build.

That would be nice to see - this way the people on the waiting list can see their submission went in. If a spot opens up and their status is changed from waiting to active - they would then appear in the active list. Thanks.

I'll add my 2 cents and say that it'd be very useful for me too if we had it available on the front-end.
