We are happy to announce the release of DT Menu 1.5.8! As this is our newest extension, we've been working out some of the final issues. Most of the issues were things that did not affect many people. Besides addressing a few bugs, we also added a couple improvements and new features. We are continually looking at how we can improve on what is already the best menu editor for Joomla 1.5. Here is what we've been working on for you...

There was not previously an upload/delete area for icon images. This has now been added to make it easier to load your custom icons.
New parameter added to select a Left or Right alignment for your icons. Previously they were always shown on the left of the menu item.
Fixed the shadow and effects settings. They were only working in Internet Explorer. You can now confidently add shadows of various sizes/colors to your submenus... and add fading effects as well.
Fixed the delete background icon that did not always work properly.
Fixed ACL access for individual menu items. Now the Joomla access levels for each menu item will be recognized.
Copying menus previously did not include any icons, submenu or item styles. Those are all now included in the copy version.
Menu module naming is improved. The default names are more unique. Also sometimes when menus were edited or unpublished/published, your custom menu module name was reset. That is also fixed.

For those who already have DT Menu in place, after you download this release, you can not just update the component files. You will need to uninstall and reinstall to get the database updated. Both the component and module have been updated. The module CAN be manually updated by just replacing files. After upgrading, go to each of your menus in the backend component, open and save them. This must be done with each one to make sure the new settings are applied.
