DT Register

DT Register 3.0.1 released for Joomla 3.0

It's been 2 months since our last product announcements and we have many new updates to tell you about.  In our last update we had announced our release of DT Register for Joomla 3.0.  Since then there have been many critical fixes as well as a few enhancements.  We have new releases for DT Register, DT Mailchimp Subscriber Plugin and we have released a brand new product called DT Acymailing Subscriber Plugin.

The 3.0x series of DT Register is for Joomla 3.0 and the latest version is 3.0.1.  As before, the 2.8.x series is for Joomla 1.7/2.5 only and the latest version is 2.8.5b. The 1.5 version has been updated to 2.7.22a in this new package update containing several significant fixes. Version 2.8.x and beyond leaves Joomla 1.5 behind. Here is what we have done for you:

FEATURES & FIXES IN 3.0 Version:

  • Added support for allowing tax exempt organizations to be processed during registrations.  You have options on whether to support tax exempt registrations and how to require tax exempt codes being entered.  Top 100 Joomla Extensions by Savvy Panda
  • Fixed cron job errors on sending reminder emails.
  • Fixed module display problems.
  • Fixed problems in core Joomla 3.0 files.   THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE MOVING to 3.0.    The readme.txt installation file contains details.
  • Fixed event search module.
  • Repaired issue with requiring file uploads and the validation was not working.
  • Fixed issue where selecting email registrants in the control panel didn't work.
  • Made several repairs to installation problems where you receive SQL errors.

FEATURES & FIXES in 1.7/2.5 Version:

  • Added support for allowing tax exempt organizations to be processed during registrations and how to require tax exempt codes being entered.
  • Fixed cron job errors on sending reminder emails.
  • Fixed module display problems.
  • Fixed event search module, including radius search.
  • Fixed issues with duplicate registration records.  THIS IS A CRITICAL FIX!
  • Fixed partial payment bug.
  • Repaired issue with requiring file uploads and the validation was not working.
  • Fixed issue where selecting email registrants in the control panel didn't work.
  • Repaired issue where under a specific circumstance double payments were being made for a registrant.
  • Repaired conflict with SH404sef.

FEATURES & FIXES in 1.5 Version:

  • Fixed issues with duplicate and missing registration records.   THIS IS A CRITICAL FIX!
  • Repaired issue with requiring file uploads and the validation was not working.
  • Fixed issue where selecting email registrants in the control panel didn't work.
  • Fixed display issues with modules.

Updates to DT Donate

We have updated version 2.3.2 of DT Donate to address a few small bugs.  The fixes were small enough that we have not changed our version number.   However this week we will be releasing 2.3.3 of DT Donate and it will support Joomla 3.0.

  • Fixed recurring payment issues.
  • Fixed issues with captcha not working.

Throughout this year we intend to release products that are designed to make your events as successful as possible for you.   This includes many different things such as creating social media plugins, better searchability of your events through all search engines and integrating DT Register with newsletters.  The good news is we have built integration with two of the most popular newsletters, AcyMailing for Joomla and Mailchimp.   If you have customization requests, which we have received a few, please let us know as we are receptive to expanding our product line to help you be as successful as possible in launching your events.   The newsletter integration is a big step towards that.

NEW PRODUCT - DT Acymailing Subscriber Plugin

DTH proudly announces the release of its latest product, DT AcyMailing Subscriber Plugin.   This plugin works with DT Register and allows you to automatically subscribe registrants to AcyMailing newletters.  This plugin works on Joomla 2.5 and 3.0 and requires DT Register 2.8.4 or later (Joomla 2.5) or DT Register 3.0.1 or later (Joomla 3.0)

NEW VERSION - DT Mailchimp Subscriber Plugin

We patched an issue with DT Mailchimp Subscriber Plugin for Joomla 2.5 and while we were doing that we made code changes to make it compatible with Joomla 3.0.   This plugin requires DT Register 2.8.4 or later (Joomla 2.5) or DT Register 3.0.1 or later (Joomla 3.0)


What is the Status for Joomla 1.5?

Now that we have released DT Register 3.0.0 many of you are probably asking what will happen with support for Joomla 1.5.   At this point we are only doing bug fixes for Joomla 1.5   We anticipate dropping support within the next year for that version.

Top 100 Joomla Extensions... includes DT REGISTER!!

As you may have seen, Savvy Panda has released a Top 100 Joomla Extensions list. DT Register made #17! This list represents 1% of all extensions. See the list (and vote for DT Register!!) at http://savvypanda.com/Top100JoomlaExtensions.

Where can I download these updates??

Glad you asked... Login to our site, go to My Orders. Next to your order details you will see a Download link. This link always pulls the latest package that is available. You have access to this link for one year from purchase. If your order is no longer active, you would need to make a new purchase to get any further updates. After downloading the update, be sure to follow the upgrade instructions in the readme file.
