TOPIC: Register as a couple or youth

I like the current ability we have to register as an individual and group, but it would be nice to add the ability to register as a couple or youth. The events we sponsor include these options.

Perhaps the ability to define our own groups and add our own picture would suit best. That would be a huge blessing to many.

Group registration is possible in the current version. For couples registration, you can set "Registration Groups to Allow" to Group or Both. Then, where it asks "Maximum Group Size" just limit group size to 2. Under Discounts and Fees, you can set special pricing for couples if you choose.

For youth, you can add a custom field for youth and can even adjust pricing for those that have indicated that they are "youth"

I realize that, but the problem is that to call it group registration would be confusing to some registrants, especially if the conference allows only individual or couple registration. A way to create our own groups, call them what we want, set the registration fee per group, and upload our own group image would be a huge plus for this kind of component.

John, you can change the text and the image...

Modify text to change "group registration" to whatever else:
/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_dtregister.ini

You can also change the images used to symbolize individual / group registrations:
/components/com_dtregister/assets/images/

That's a great idea!

But then, the second part should'nt be: Enter Number of Registrants in your Group.
That doesn't make sense when the limit of the group size is 2. Is there a possibility to switch off this part?

for the couple part, i do have a suggestion, this is what I have done for our website, check this out ... http://www.relentlessgeneration.com

what I did was ...
1) in JEvent, create an identical event side by side with the main one, but put "Pastor and Spouse"
2) in DT Register, under events, create that 2nd event (but just a slight name change), and only turn on the individual ability, and also put the extra field "Spouse's name"

that way, I can cover the single/group register, but at the same time, take care the couple registration too

same principle can be used on "Youth" also.
