TOPIC: Showing People who have Registered in 2.7

Some rambling wishes for development of the ‘View Registrants’ option in the upcoming 2.7 release….

(1) As much as I love to show who has registered, there is a privacy issue for some people (yes, even though they are going to the event!) – Could we have a back-end config to ‘Offer Privacy?’ – Then if ‘Show Registrants’ is on as a global setting, it would add a check-box line to the registration form (checked by default!) that said something like ‘I am happy for registered members of this site to be able to see that I will be attending this event’ – Whether they check or uncheck this then provides info to inform my next comment….

(2) On the front-end screen that displays registrants to an event could we have a ‘Total Number’ at the top, then a break-down display of (a) x People from this Community – showing JomSocial avatars of anyone detected as JomSocial member, (b) Other People Attending – showing a list of names – maybe just comma separated horizontally rather than the current format which can lead to multiple pages of data, (c) x People who want to remain anonymous (and this is just the total figure based upon the data collected from (1) above

The ability to show the JomSocial avatars would make things look so nice…. And hey, actually perhaps this registrants screen could show by default at the end of the registration process. So once someone has signed up – they instantly see who else is going to be there…. So they can start contacting people if they wish. Nice eh?

Another thing - Currently, do 'Group Registrants' get their names on the Attendee list? I just had a user call in to check all her group had been registered because only 1 name was showing on the attendee list - I assume that was hers as the main registrant of the group??? Can we tweak things so ALL names show? Now I know that'll make detecting whether or not they are JomSocial users tricky - but maybe just assume they are not I suppose.
