Love the new Auto-User Registration BUT my users aren't realising they need to log-in first if they already have an account! In 2.7 could you somehow lift the auto-user creation to the top and make it clear that it's a choice of (a) Log-in to an existing account or (b) Enter a username / password to create a new account.
I don't really want to create extra steps but maybe before the (optional) single or group registration screen, there should be a check to see if the user is logged in, and if not, there should be a 'Existing members must Login Now OR proceed and an account will be created for you' type screen....
Yeah, we've been thinking about this same type of thing. Figured we'd get some feedback and go from there. For now, you can always put some text at the top of the registration form telling people what you need them to do. Maybe they'll even read it
Agreed. Been waiting for the user account exists for quite awhile as it's very important for us. Also we'd still want the ability for non users to register without logging in (we have non members like spouses attend events).
I agree with this as well. For me, Community Builder (CB) integration would be important so that all those fields that are required in CB are required in the user registration as well.
dcmeagle - even if you enable auto user creation, users can still register without being logged in. It would have them create a user account, but they could still register as a public user.
thotri - no problem... if you have a field set as required in CB registration, just set those fields as required in DT Register. Easy.
