TOPIC: Custom Field Default Value

I need the ability to set a default value for a custom value field, per event. We track the number of credits each event is worth (as I'm sure many schools and other educational institutes using this great component do) but we can't rely on the attendees to enter the info correctly. We'd then set it to hidden so they could change it (though a locked value would be nice too).

Any news on this features? Should be easy to implement, I just don't want to customize the component and have it rewritten each time.

Default values can be set for selection fields... dropdown, checkbox and radio buttons. For basic text entry fields, there is no default value option at this time.

Any chance of adding default values for text fields and locking them or hiding them?
