Hi

I have created 2 events and 2 categories and somehow it all got messed up.

I want to create a menu item that links directly to one event, but the list of events had the same event name twice, and after changing manes deleting events and recreating them, the list is now completely empty.

The list showing all upcoming events is also messed up.
It start up with no events and when i select a category then some events show up twice and other don't show at all.

I use version 2.8.6c from June 10th on Joomla 2.5.11

Regards
Picht

Ran into the same problem after updating to 2.86c. I also am having trouble assigning an event to a category. I already opened a ticket and will post an update once I find out

picht - just a thought... check your access level settings on the DT Reg categories. Make sure they are set and saved as "Public", assuming you want the events of the category to display for anyone. The only way an event should not display would be the access level or published status of the event's category... or the publish status of the event... or the access level of the menu item.

I did have the same problem after upgrading joomla 1.5 to 2.5
The events were duplicated in the frontend.
First I went into all the events and reassigned them to a category.
Next I had to reset the menu type and assigned it to the DT Register category list of events.
Then assigned the categories that I wanted to be listed in the menu component options tab.
After this it all work
One side effect is the category name is showed as "none" in the admin event list even though its has a category assigned.

I had exactly the same issue and solution as w2kd
although my listing of events now does show the correct category.

I had thought however that I could select multiple categories and although it lets me do that, it doesn't seem to work in the Upcoming module?

The workaround for this would be if the "All Items" menu item worked without duplicating events, I could use that as my main listing and target categories on relevant sub pages...
