TOPIC: Date Tag Won't Resolve!

I entered the event tag [DATE_EVENT] into my registration form instructions but it will not resolve. It just shows up with tag text. I tried typing it a few times, saved and refreshed my browser but no deal.

This event date tag has been working before in other places like emails so it seems odd for it to not work on the top of the reg page.

All suggestions appreciated.
