I have had a nightmare trying to get answers on a support ticket. It's annoying to say the least.

DT Register forms the heart of one of my sites and is therefore its an important component to me. Frankly, its important enough to pay more than $75 per year - or it would be if I could get support. Probably worth double.

So: Dear DTH, would you consider charging more and thus have more human resources to deal with support queries or perhaps a larger budget to test things before releasing patches on patches on patches?

I don't know if this is a feasible suggestion or not. What could you do with double the DT Register income you have now? Would it even make a difference? I don't know how many sales you have.

I was going to email DTH with this thought, but decided I would post this on the forum to see if any other DT Register users feel the same about paying more but for good service. Please comment if you agree or, indeed, if you disagree.

Strongly agree with this. I have a GREAT product, but what I need is GREAT support to accompany it.

Yes, I have to agree. Great product but lately support has been non-existent.

I've had a ticket open for almost a month now - they were responsive the first few days, fixed an issue, and then it went to sporadic communications from them to now non-existent. It's been almost 2 weeks since I last heard from them, despite my pleas for a status update.

Something may be going on at DTH that we're not aware of as it looks like dthadmin hasn't been posting much lately - last visit was March 10.

I agree. I posted a question on Feb 27 about potential custom work I would pay for; however I haven't had a response. I now have a client who needs a very robust registration system and I would like to use this component; however I also need some very good support (which I am willing to pay for). Based on the lack of response in the ticket system I am hesitant to use this system. I will probably use this system and hire a PHP/MVC/Joomla programmer for support.

Same story with our group. Weeks have turned into months with no responses. For now, we are dropping DTR in favor of a custom solution.....unfortunately,

There has been an address change for the company on their invoices from (New Palestine, IN) to (Atlanta,GA).... Don't know if that means anything or not but if my experience in seeking help and guidance over several years is anything to go by then sadly I think...not!

So much potential and yet the No1 thing that let's this product down is the lack of meaningful and perhaps most importantly, timely support. Such a shame.
