I do not use it on this site, but others. I have many extensions that use jQuery though but so far on this site they all play nice.

Even with DT? I can not seem to get jquery easy and DT to play nice.

Not sure. But according to the dt_jquery.js file it says jquery javascript library 1.5.2 and jQuery UI 1.8.16.

I have even set jquery easy to use those and DT still does not work.

The problem is that it does have great functions if you can get it to work. I have not found anything else that will do the trick.
